Thanks to this generosity, Charles Sturt is one of Australia’s leading regional universities, deeply connected to the economic, social and cultural life of the communities we serve.

About the Charles Sturt Foundation Trust

The Charles Sturt Foundation Trust is a DGR (deductible gift recipient) 2 registered charitable organisation that supports education, research and community engagement at Charles Sturt University.

The Foundation seeks and manages philanthropic support that strengthens the university’s impact beyond the scope of its core budget.

Philanthropic support helps deliver scholarships, student placements, collaborative research, capital works and more. It contributes directly to student success and supports projects that benefit entire regions.

All donations of two dollars or more are tax deductible.

The Foundation supports a range of initiatives that align with Charles Sturt University’s mission to serve the public good.

Since 1984, the Foundation has awarded more than 6681 scholarships and distributed over 30.58 million dollars in direct support to students from our giving  community.

In 2025 alone, more than 3 million dollars will be invested in scholarships and grants to enable the next generation of professionals to study, work and lead in regional Australia.
